The CCGrass pitch is down at the Moate Community School in Co. Westmeath in Ireland, with installation by specialist contractor and partner, PST Sport, going smoothly. The pitch is to be completed over the next few days, and we cannot wait to see the finished result.

Since groundwork began in July, the project has been an exciting development for the school, taking slightly longer than usual due to the wet weather in August. PST Sport will be able to continue with good progress this week to get it finished now the sun is shining again.

The chosen CCGrass carpet for the school’s new pitch is the Superb 52, an excellent football surface with superior play characteristics.

CCGrass CEO, Bryn Lee, comments

“Superb 52 makes an excellent football pitch, designed to perform longer and better than other artificial grass surfaces. PST Sport has really pushed our top quality turf, and established it as the best product for professional clubs, schools and communities, so I am delighted that Moate Community College will soon be playing on their new pitch .”

The unique diamond shaped yarn uses a C8 polymer, which makes it soft to the touch to guarantee player comfort. The surface is very hard wearing with exceptional resilience, ensuring Moate Community School will benefit from this remarkable turf for many years to come.

If restrictions allow it, the school will host an official opening ceremony once installation is complete and we are excited to hear what the school think of their new pitch.
